About the Role

As an engineer in Capital One Travel, you’ll help spearhead the development of iOS features leveraging Swift, SwiftUI, and reactive programming to help us build incredible mobile experiences for our customers throughout their travel journey. From shopping and booking their travel to actively helping while in transit, we aim to provide our customers the right information at the right time to make their travel experience as easy as possible. You’ll partner with fellow Software Engineers, UX/UI Designers and Product Owners/Analysts to deliver these high performing customer experiences that are engaging, purposeful and powerful in their simplicity.

IDE: XCode

Language: Swift. SwiftUI

Monitoring Tool: NewRelic, Splunk

CI/CD: Jenkins, OnePipeline (Capital One’s innersourced CICD pipeline)

Your Responsibilities: 

Work as part of a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle, from initial designs to delivery

Develop code to meet acceptance criteria 

Conduct design and code reviews to ensure high-level quality output

Ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality, and time-to-market imperatives 

Participate in Agile ceremonies, design and brainstorming sessions

Collaborate with Product and Analyst stakeholders to implement enhancements or new applications 

Technical documentation for analysis, test results and release

Learn and build your iOS features on the job

Basic Qualifications:

Will obtain a Bachelor’s degree or higher from January 2026 or later

Familiarity with iOS application development

Good communication, presentation, and writing skills

Good understanding of testing fundamentals

Able to work within a team setting and actively participate and collaborate in team discussions


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with developing iOS applications in Swift & SwiftUI

Experience with reactive programming

Experience with version control technology i.e. Git

Experience with Jenkins CI/CD, microservices, API design / integration
