Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

What does the Human Resources People Services Team do in ING?

The Human Resources team at ING plays a crucial role throughout the employee life cycle. We manage recruitment and onboarding, ensuring a smooth start for new hires. We provide continuous learning and development opportunities, oversees performance management, and addresses employee relations to maintain a positive workplace culture. They handle compensation, benefits, and compliance with labor laws, while also aligning HR strategies with business goals through strategic planning. By using data analytics, HR makes informed decisions to enhance processes and employee satisfaction, ultimately supporting ING’s success through our people.

What would you be doing?

Various transformation projects are currently underway to implement more HR digital solutions as part of the Global HR system footprint.

As an intern, you will provide support to the Human Resources function in upcoming projects such as:

Transition from legacy learning platforms to Workday Learning

Launch of the Talent Review process on the Workday platform

Support Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging initiatives steered by the DIB Council

Other HR projects as required if the opportunity arises

The work will cover tasks such as;

Support the project team in the administration and collation of requirements from stakeholders

Assist with Non-Financial Risk (NFR) requirements to support the project

Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in alignment with specific use cases when the test environments are set up

Support marketing, training and change management efforts to generate awareness about the transformation projects

Perform some data analysis and reporting

What qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria: 

Minimum GPA of 3.5/4 or 4.2/5 or equivalent

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable with handling large volumes of information

Good organizational skills and attention to detail

Able to visualize and understand the end to end of a process

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)

Reasonable level of savviness wth IT to use HR systems and data to be efficient in work

Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Resourceful and willingness to learn

Previous internship in HR or a major in HR would be of added value

You should have legal work rights in the country of internship

What would you gain from this internship?

Real-world, hands-on experience with HR transformation activities in the banking and financial services industry, along with witnessing the migration of processes to globalized HR processes and systems.
