Intern, Debt Advisory (Summer 2026)

The Debt Advisory internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior professionals on real estate financing assignments across Asia Pacific, with exposure to a wide range of institutional sponsors, developers, and capital providers. The position sits at the centre of the financing process, providing insight into how debt capital is structured, negotiated, and executed across different markets and asset classes.

The role is suited to someone who is curious, commercially minded, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment, with the opportunity to develop a strong understanding of real estate debt markets and lender dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Debt Advisory team on live financing mandates across origination, structuring, and execution phases

Assist in preparing client materials, including pitch decks, teasers, information memoranda, and lender presentations

Conduct financial and cash-flow analysis, including leverage metrics, debt service coverage, and sensitivity analysis

Support the team with financial models and transaction analysis under guidance from senior team members

Perform market, sector, and credit research on real estate assets, sponsors, and lenders

Assist with lender processes, including NDA coordination, data room organisation, due diligence questions and tracking lender feedback

Prepare internal briefing notes, transaction summaries, and analysis for senior stakeholders

Provide general analytical and administrative support as required in a fast-paced deal environment

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Real Estate, or a related discipline

Strong analytical skills, with solid proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to produce accurate, well-structured work

Demonstrated interest in real estate finance, debt markets, or capital markets

Strong team player, able to collaborate effectively in a small, deal-driven environment

Able to think on their feet, adapt quickly, and respond constructively as deal priorities evolve

Culturally aware and adaptable, with the ability to adjust working and communication styles to suit different teams, markets, and client expectations

High attention to detail, with pride in accuracy, presentation, and follow-through

Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working with ambiguity

Professional attitude, with the maturity to interact appropriately with senior colleagues and external stakeholders

Eager to learn, receptive to feedback, and motivated to develop technical and commercial skills

Prior internship experience in finance, real estate, banking, or consulting is an advantage but not required
