Intern, Application Engineering

About the Role:
Join our Application Engineering team for a hands-on internship supporting real-world projects in paper machine rebuilds, proposal development, and customer-specific engineering solutions. This role offers exposure to Voith’s project lifecycle from quoting and design to execution and customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist engineers in preparing technical proposals and documentation for rebuild and upgrade projects, such as tail threading systems and press section replacements Support the development of budgetary proposals and scope breakdowns for customer RFQs, including coordination with sales, project management, and engineering Participate in project kickoff meetings and help track deliverables, schedules, and performance guarantees Contribute to the preparation of installation manuals, risk assessments, and training documents Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer site visits, equipment evaluations, and technical clarifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, a related technical field. Strong interest in industrial applications or capital equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CAD tools or ERP systems is a plus. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
