What is the Opportunity?

We're looking for an Intermediate Product Designer to join the RBC Insurance Digital Design team. In this role, you’ll help shape the future of digital insurance experiences—enhancing existing products and designing new ones from the ground up. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including product, technology, strategy, and marketing, contributing to work that blends creativity with real impact.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, thoughtful, and comfortable working through complexity. You take initiative, enjoy collaborating, and care deeply about creating meaningful, user-focused solutions. This role is ideal for someone who brings a strong foundation in human-centred design, visual polish, and interaction design—especially in content-rich, system-heavy domains like insurance.

What Will You Do?

Partner with delivery squads to design seamless end-to-end experiences across multiple digital channelsApply systems thinking to evolve and maintain the RBC design system, ensuring scalable, consistent design across productsContribute to all phases of the product lifecycle—from research and problem framing to ideation and executionCollaborate with stakeholders to bring clarity and alignment to design solutions, using both informal and structured design methodsIncorporate insights from qualitative and quantitative research to inform design decisionsParticipate in agile ceremonies and support QA efforts to ensure design quality throughout implementation

What Do You Need to Succeed?


Must-Have:

2-5 years of experience in product design or a related fieldA portfolio that demonstrates your ability to solve complex problems through thoughtful designProficiency with Figma and familiarity with Adobe Creative SuiteExperience working in agile product teamsStrong interaction design and visual design skills, including understanding of typography, layout, colour, and hierarchyExperience designing user flows, interaction models, and information architectureKnowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principlesDegree in a design-related field or equivalent professional experience

Nice to Have:

(Nice to have) Experience in insurance, banking, or fintech
