This is a central and dynamic position where you will provide technical and functional support for applications used by trading and risk analysts based in New York. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with knowledge of ITIL best practices, are essential, as you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining critical applications.

What will be your day-to-day?
-You will be part of an IT feature team (Development and Support) working closely with a trading desk. You will collaborate with the development team to deliver high-quality services to traders and help prevent or resolve major production incidents.
-Each day begins with a morning health check to ensure Production systems are stable before financial markets open.
-Throughout the day, you will manage and resolve user tickets using Unity. You may also be contacted directly by users during live production incidents, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot applications efficiently.
-You will continuously learn key Production Support practices and build financial domain expertise alongside experienced professionals.
-An evening system check will also be performed to ensure Production stability before Asian markets open.
What we do differently
Beyond day-to-day support activities, you will have opportunities to enhance and expand your technical expertise by contributing to automation initiatives. This includes working with tools and technologies such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, scripting, bots, Autosys, and related solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
What does it take to get the job?
We believe that strong application support starts with understanding the technologies behind the systems you support. As a result, team members are expected to demonstrate a foundational level of coding ability.
To qualify for this role, you must be able to:
-Write SQL queries
-Successfully complete a basic coding exercise in a technology you are familiar with
It is a plus if you have:
5+ years of experience as an Application Support Analyst
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
A proven track record of delivering continuous improvements and automation initiatives
LANGUAGE
-English, French
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required, as the role involves regular collaboration with colleagues and partners in the United States.
• CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $50,000–$100,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
