We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer specializing in Workplace environments to join our team. This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and operates within a hybrid work model, offering flexibility between office time and working from home. The role involves leading key design aspects, client interactions, and presentations, while collaborating with our integrated design team to ensure project success.

ResponsibilitiesLead conceptual design, program development, and space planning within projects.Demonstrate a refined design approach that integrates functionality and spatial performance.Oversee and ensure quality in construction documents and design details, mentoring junior staff.Ensure design intent through careful selection of materials and products aligning with sustainability.Attend site visits and construction administration meetings, sharing lessons learned.Provide mentorship and leadership, contributing to project success and team growth.Guide teams to produce high-quality deliverables, serving as a thought leader.Champion design excellence and innovation within the integrated team.Execute quality assurance and control to maintain design integrity.Communicate design intent clearly with project managers and the Integrated Design Team.Lead presentations and manage client expectations to build strong relationships.Ensure project schedules, delivery timelines, and profitability are met.
Essential SkillsUndergraduate Degree in Interior Design.Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience.Professional licensure required; LEED AP or other green certifications preferred.Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with Bluebeam; strong proficiency in standard A/E/I/P software.Demonstrated leadership in applying design techniques and sustainable principles.Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to process improvement.Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
Additional Skills & QualificationsActively participate in professional organizations.Present at industry conferences.Contribute to business development and marketing.
Work Environment

The role is based in the Phoenix office and follows a hybrid work model. You will engage in a collaborative environment, working with an integrated design team. The position involves a balance of 60% client and project team leadership and 40% business development efforts within the workplace market sector. Dress code and work hours offer flexibility aligning with project needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
