Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Interior Designer with strong design sensibility and technical proficiency in Revit to join our team focused on education sector projects. This role offers a fast-track opportunity to grow into a Project Manager position, ideal for candidates ready to take on leadership responsibilities and drive project success from concept to completion.
ResponsibilitiesLead interior design efforts for K-12, higher education, and institutional projects.Develop design concepts, space planning, FF&E selections, and finish palettes aligned with client goals and educational standards.Produce detailed construction documents and coordinate with architectural and engineering teams using Revit.Participate in client presentations, stakeholder meetings, and design reviews.Mentor junior designers and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables with increasing autonomy.Support business development efforts and contribute to proposals and interviews.Essential SkillsAdvanced proficiency in RevitStrong design sensibilityLeadership and project ownershipSpace planningInterior architectureUnderstanding of educational environments, codes, and accessibility standardsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or related fieldMinimum 6 years of professional experience with a portfolio showcasing education projectsFamiliarity with other design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and EnscapeProven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesInterest in growing into a Project Manager role; prior leadership experience is a plusWork Environment
The firm is very collaborative and is separated into studios. While you will often work within your studio, you will occasionally get exposure to other project types based on pressing workloads. For entry-level personnel, the expectation would be the first 6 months fully in office, followed by 24 hours in office and the remaining hours working from home.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $43.27/hr.
