Interim Secret Cleared Technical Writer
Job Description Insight Global is looking to add a Technical Writer to a federal clients program based near SAFB. This role will lead the creation and management of technical documentation across a government program. The Technical Writer will collaborate with engineering teams and customers to translate functional requirements into clear, user-friendly documentation. Responsibilities include authoring installation guides, configuration manuals, developer documentation, and system specifications. The writer will also support leadership meetings by capturing minutes and ensuring documentation aligns with contract standards. Skills and Requirements 7+ years of experience, including at least 5 years in a technical or lead writing role Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), IC ITE, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Experience creating a wide range of documentation artifacts (e.g., manuals, guides, cheat sheets) with proper formatting and visual elements Proven experience designing and delivering developer-oriented documentation as well as working directly with development teams Bachelors Degree Active OR ability to obtain a Secret Clearance Prior experience supporting government contracts or federal programs. Demonstrated expertise in migrating documentation to an automation-driven process
