Job Description
The Interim Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the month-end close process to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. This role involves reconciling bank accounts, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing and posting journal entries, and reviewing general ledger activity. The position requires coordination with project and department leads to gather financial data, prepare financial statements, analyze budget variances, maintain audit documentation, and ensure adherence to GAAP standards.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee the month-end close process to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
+ Reconcile bank accounts and manage accounts payable and receivable.
+ Prepare and post journal entries and review general ledger activity.
+ Coordinate with project and department leads to gather financial data.
+ Prepare financial statements and analyze budget variances.
+ Maintain audit documentation and ensure adherence to GAAP.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in reconciliations.
+ Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
+ Experience in managing accounts payable and receivable.
+ Ability to create pivot tables and VLOOKUPs in Excel.
+ Proficiency in an ERP system such as SAP, Deltek, Oracle, SAGE, or Workday.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Costpoint and Vantagepoint.
+ Experience with ERP implementation.
+ Auditing experience.
+ Experience in the AEC industry.
Work Environment
This position is 100% remote, providing the opportunity to support a company through a critical moment of an ERP implementation. The role offers flexibility and the chance to work from the comfort of your own space.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
