INTERIM Accounting Manager
Job Title: Corporate Accounting Projects SpecialistJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Accounting Projects Specialist to drive efficiencies within our Corporate Accounting function. This role involves supporting monthly profit and loss reviews, managing accounts payable, assisting with financial consolidations, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. Responsibilities + Provide support in monthly profit and loss reviews across multiple domestic and international entities, explaining variances to budget and prior period actuals, and recording accruals as needed. + Manage accounts payable, ensuring payables are processed accurately and on time, maintaining the accuracy of the payables subledger, and completing monthly subledger to general ledger reconciliations. + Assist in searching for unrecorded liabilities and recording accruals as necessary. + Assist with allocation of shared expenses and hotel or HCI related costs. + Assist with the consolidation of domestic and international financials. + Post certain entity monthly journal entries as needed and review entries posted by staff accountants. + Assist the Corporate Controller with monitoring consolidated operations, cash flow, and operating forecasts of assigned entities. + Oversee processing of certain disbursements by the staff person. + Involve in insurance and rent administration of assigned entities. + Prepare prepaid amortization schedules and amortization entries. + Assist with internal and external financial audits, coordinating with external CPA firms. + Support the preparation of daily and weekly cash flow forecasts. + Oversee and direct the activities of one staff accountant, one senior accounts payable associate, and the outsourced corporate accounts payable team located in India. + Prepare quarterly Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) reports for lenders. + Prepare special reports and statements as requested. + Undertake other special projects and responsibilities as assigned. Essential Skills + Three to five years of related financial management, financial reporting, and accounting experience. + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required. + Strong PC skills including Excel and financial accounting systems such as Oracle. + Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. + Strong adherence to U.S. GAAP financial accounting and reporting standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Hotel experience is a plus, but corporate level financial accounting experience is preferred. + Experience can be supplemented with public accounting audit experience. + Master's Degree in Accounting preferred. + CPA license preferred. + Public accounting audit experience preferred. Work Environment The position is based at our headquarters, with a total of nine members in the corporate accounting group. Some accounts payable and general ledger work is outsourced to a team in India. The role involves a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Irving, Texas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
