We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source an Interface Engineer. This is a long-term contract role. Please see details below.
Title: Interface Engineer
Start Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)
Location: Onshore (Qatar Site/Doha HQ)
Working Schedule: 6 days per week / 8-10 hours per day
--Experience Required—
Key Job Accountabilities
• Acts as the focal point between the PMT and the EPCI contractor particularly for SIMOPS and Interface and Upstream Gas Planning group.
• Participates in the development of all SIMOPs documents to ensure that all parties have a clear understanding and impact on adjacent work activities.
• Develop and implement interface management plans to coordinate activities between engineering/Construction/contractor & operation.
• Identify, document, and track interface points across project phases (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations).
• Act as the main point of contact for resolving interface issues between various contractors, PMT, and Project Stakeholders.
• Identify potential interface risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and industry regulations
• Support risk assessments, change management, and impact analysis related to interface issues
• Maintain accurate records of interface agreements, changes, and resolutions.
• Develop interface reports and dashboards to monitor project progress.
• Support project close-out activities by ensuring interface resolutions are documented.
• Initiate Space Reservation IA by eIMS
• Have pre-alignment/coordination with IA Reviewers i.e HAZID/HAZOP Workshop and 3D Model.
--Minimum Requirements--
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering in related discipline or equivalent
Knowledge and Key Skills
• Minimum of (10) years broad experience in all phases of subsea construction planning, field execution and mechanical completion activities in respective discipline.
• Experience in offshore EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation) projects.
• Min of (5) years worked as subsea / offshore installation engineer with Tier 1 Oil and Gas Contractors for field execution works.
• Experience of working on Diving Support Vessel (DSV) for subsea pipeline repair, spool tie in, free span correction activities.
• Familiar with daily Diving Support Vessel, air and saturation diving operations.
• Worldwide experience working in Brownfield environments with contractors and subcontractors, in particular those involved in the construction of Subsea and offshore, Shutdown, oil, gas, chemical and/or petrochemical plant facilities.
