The Digital Products & Services (DPS) team is responsible for the secure, end‑to‑end management of information systems throughout their lifecycle. DPS team members maintain awareness of the systems under their ownership, understand the sensitive data those systems store, transmit, or process, and uphold core security principles—including least privilege and least functionality. Team members also recognize events that may constitute an information security incident and understand their role in incident response activities.
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM (On call support required, as needed).
Location: Remote (Virginia; North Carolina; South Carolina; or Georgia only)

Position Summary The Digital Technical Architect I is a technical partner who collaborates with end users, application teams, and solution architects to evaluate requirements, determine priorities, and balance cost considerations to support strategic and technical objectives. This role builds and maintains strong relationships with corporate and clinical partners and acts as a single point of focus for a designated technical domain.
Key Responsibilities
+ Support the lifecycle management of assigned information systems, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into feasible technical solutions.
+ Evaluate requirements, cost implications, and technical constraints to support decision‑making and roadmap development.
+ Serve as a liaison between end users, application teams, and solution architects to ensure alignment across functions.
+ Maintain deep technical knowledge in a specialized domain and provide guidance within that area.
+ Apply and enforce security principles including least privilege, least functionality, and secure configuration management.
+ Identify potential security incidents and participate in incident response activities.
Ideal Candidate:
+ Foundational technical experience in a specialized domain (e.g., applications, infrastructure, cloud, data, etc.).
+ Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
+ Ability to collaborate with both technical and non‑technical partners.
+ Understanding of information security concepts and their practical application.
+ Effective communication and documentation skills.
What We're Looking For
+ Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Management, preferred.
+ Experience: 10+ years of Technical Analyst, or Developer. Cloud Architect, SRE, Data Engineer, or DBA Role Role, required. 5 years of FOR SRE: Public Cloud Technology (Azure, GCP, AWS), required.
+ Intersystems: HealthConnect, Iris, or Ensemble Interface engine strongly preferred.
+ Licensure/Certification: TOGAF-9, CITA-F, ITIL-F, COBIT-5, CISSP-ISSAP, or Preferred equivalent, preferred. Microsoft Certified Azure Data Fundamentals or equivalent in other public cloud technologies; Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent in other public cloud technologies; Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent in other public cloud technologies; Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent in other public cloud technologies, preferred. AWS or GCP Professional Level Certification, preferred.
+ Epic Bridges strongly preferred.
+ Additional Skills (required):Intermediate skill to engage and quickly build understanding of the technical area in which they operate. Intermediate knowledge of technologies (past, current, emerging) that support business capabilities within scope of engagement and partnership for a given technical area. Intermediate knowledge of information technology design principles and practices.Basic knowledge of information technology frameworks (ISO, COBIT, ITIL, etc.). Basic diagramming skills (process, component, entity, logical, physical). Ability to develop requirements definition and evaluation. Basic writing, speaking, and presenting skills. Intermediate problem-solving skills. Intermediate communication skills, with emphasis on translating business requirements into technical specifications. Ability to positively influence others. Ability to facilitate collaboration and negotiation. Ability to think strategically. Leadership skills. Ability to be assertive. Ability to inspire and motivate.
+ Additional Skills (preferred): Knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g., Zachman, TOGAF, IASA). Basic knowledge of APM technologies (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry). Intermediate knowledge of Kubernetes and microservices architecture. Ability to work with vendors and internal customers to craft, document, and verify solutions that meet data and analytics requirements. Ability to mentor and train others in the data platform stack. Ability to diagram and communicate data flows and workflows. Advanced knowledge of the data platform technology stack. Intermediate knowledge of Agile methodologies. Intermediate knowledge of DevOps methodologies. Intermediate knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Intermediate knowledge of Azure PaaS Services for data manipulation, orchestration, containerization, and data storage. Intermediate knowledge of Azure Storage solutions. Intermediate knowledge of Azure PaaS Databases (SQL, NoSQL). Intermediate knowledge of federated database solutions (Starburst). Intermediate knowledge of cloud data warehousing technologies. Basic knowledge of analytics tools for data presentation and visualization. Basic knowledge of Azure Databricks. Basic knowledge of Apache Airflow. Basic knowledge of Apache Kafka and the associated data frameworks (JSON, AVRO, Protobuf)
