The Difference You Make:

The Interest Rate Risk (IRR) Analyst plays a key role in strengthening the organization’s (IRR) oversight by supporting accurate, timely, and well-controlled risk measurement processes. By contributing to core analytical production cycles, model governance activities, and cross-entity coordination, you help ensure the integrity of risk metrics, enhance transparency, and support informed balance sheet management decisions.

 

Position Summary

Support the monthly Interest Rate Risk (IRR) metric production process within QRM, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of risk measures.

Contribute to the annual IRR limit-setting process for SHUSA and its subsidiaries by preparing analysis, documentation, and supporting materials.

Assist with monthly and quarterly model control activities, including ongoing performance monitoring and validation support for IRR models.

Partner with IRR team members to learn, document, and enhance recurring analytical and reporting procedures to improve efficiency and control.

Perform ad-hoc IRR analyses to support risk management, regulatory, and business-driven requests.

Collaborate with headquarters and subsidiary stakeholders to promote adherence to established IRR procedures, standards, and governance frameworks.

Identify opportunities to automate and streamline analytical workflows using appropriate tools and programming capabilities.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field with financial coursework – Required.

 

Experience

1+ years of experience in Market Risk, Interest Rate Risk, or Asset Liability Management within the financial services industry – Required.

Experience with QRM or similar financial risk management systems. – Preferred.

 

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced analytical functions.

Working knowledge of financial products and interest rate risk concepts.

Familiarity with VBA, SQL, or Microsoft Access.

Exposure to programming languages such as R, MATLAB, or Python for data analysis and process automation.

Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.

Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and process control.

Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organizational levels.

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range:

Minimum:

$63,750.00 USD

Maximum:

$100,000.00 USD
