Interaction Designer - Interactive Experiences
Job Description:
We’re looking for a highly creative, execution-focused interaction designer to join a lean innovation team building the next generation of interactive experiences for Samsung Smart TVs. You’ll be responsible for delivering intuitive, innovative, high performing user experiences for Samsung, instantly reaching millions of users. To accomplish this, the designers will work directly with producers, product managers, researchers, and engineers to translate business and user needs into real product solutions. If you’re obsessed with experimenting, iterating, and shipping fast, this is your role.
This is a creatively wide-open role with real executional velocity—you won’t just pitch ideas, you’ll build them. You will be the center of a growing team focused on validating breakthrough ideas through working prototypes. You'll collaborate closely with product, research, and external partners to test new mechanics, formats, and monetizable experiences that could scale across Samsung’s massive TV footprint.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:Design and develop interactive, high-fidelity experiences, gaming variants, interactive shopping, and new content formats.Work with design lead and product managers to transform strategic direction and product requirements into high quality design output from total systems to individual elements for TV interfaces.Maintaining/iterating live interactive experiences with visual/ux updates (New features, bug fixes, seasonal imagery, client sponsorship integration, etc).Contribute to high level concepts and executive reviews but also pitch in on detail level design work.Supporting the development and delivery of final products to market (making production ready assets, iterating on polish, supporting bug fixes, etc).Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate design, enhance interactivity, and streamline content development.
Bring an entrepreneurial mindset—willing to explore, experiment, and invent in areas where no precedent exists.Qualifications & Skills:4-6 years of experience in UX, interaction design, or creative prototyping, ideally in fast-paced or startup environments.
Strong portfolio showcasing interactive design and high-fidelity design work.
Proficient in design tools (such as Figma, ProtoPie, Framer, Webflow, or equivalent), with fluency in web-based design for large-screen environments.
Comfort working with ambiguity and leading design direction in uncharted product spaces.
Familiarity with TV UI/UX patterns, connected devices, and large-screen interactions a plus.
Hands-on experience or comfort using generative AI tools to support visual design, copy, or logic workflows.
Skills and Qualifications
Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York, NY, is expected to be between $150,000 ~ $165,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
