Job Description:

The world of IT and Transportation have converged. We want a progressive software architect with broad and deep technical knowledge who enjoys ideation and building solutions that will change the future of mobility. Our solutions are geared to establish interoperability and integrations with complex systems in transportation to simplify the user experience; using data in the solution efforts to drive decisions in the transportation network that lead to safer roads by reducing congestion & and changing drivers’ behavior.   

POSITION OVERVIEW:

On this team, you will function as a senior ITS technical leader, designing and deploying state-of-the-art software solutions centered around our core iNET Product (https://www.parsons.com/products/inet/) that integrate and utilize ITS assets such as:  Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), traffic signals, communications systems, Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), Integrated Corridor Management Systems (ICMS), Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV), data hubs, and other advanced transportation technologies.  The successful candidate will independently develop and/or supervise the development of advanced ITS designs, Special Provisions or technical procedures. This position requires occasional travel to New Jersey and New York clients/field locations.
 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as a senior technical leader within the ITS/Smart Mobility Group.  Creates enhanced technical solutions to meet client and/or regulatory requirements and actively seeks improvements to work processes.Researches, analyzes, and organizes statistics or other technical materials for specific applications.Independently work on ITS designs and specifications submittal and collaborate with other ITS design team membersParticipates in business development activities, supporting the technical aspects of the opportunity, including proposal preparation and formal client presentationsKeeps abreast of technological developments related to area of expertise.Participates in one or more professional organizations.May write and/or review articles written by others for publication in professional journals.May perform in a technical leadership role, providing technical direction to others in the production of products or services to ensure that meet established project requirements.May supervise or mentor one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance. Overseeing the development of a project and coordinating teams of developers to meet design standards requires significant leadership. Software architects must be able to juggle the needs and demands of projects and teams.Planning, tracking and scheduling deliverables often using agile process (i.e. sprint planning)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline degree related to area of specialty and
- An advanced degree may be preferred at this level
- 5+ years of related professional experience

Salary Range: $100,900.00 - $176,600.00
