Summary This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted position for a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1660000, and is part of the 169 OSS, South Carolina Air National Guard. Responsibilities This position is located in the Intelligence function of the Operations Group at an Air National Guard (ANG) flying unit. The primary purpose of the position is to perform specialized duties and to train assigned military unit members in the duties and functions associated with operational intelligence. Provides detailed intelligence analysis for mission planning, aircrew briefings and debriefings. Trainer and task certifier for intelligence systems, order of battle maintenance, mission planning, threat analysis, and GI&S support. In addition, the incumbent performs complex intelligence analysis of all pertinent threat weapons systems and geopolitical conditions that could impact the unit's mission success. This position requires a comprehensive working knowledge of intelligence support operations, procedures, and practices. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO AREA OF CONSIDERATION (AOC): 1 Only Area 1: Current Permanent On-Board dual status technicians employed with the SC Air National Guard. (Does not include temporary and indefinite technicians). Area 2: Current military members of the SC Air National Guard. Area 3: Current nationwide Air National Guard military members, AF Reserve military members, and RegAF. (Must be willing to transfer to the SC Air National Guard), US citizens eligible for immediate membership in the SC Air National Guard. Military Grades: Enlisted Only Military Requirements-This is a Title 32 Technician Vacancy that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the closing date of the job vacancy.. GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 24 months experience, education or training performing functions involving various intelligence systems and organizations. Experience reviewing and analyzing data including technical reports, surveys, and studies. Experience preparing and conducting training plans and programs, both formal and on-the-job.
