Data integration applications we use: InterSystems HealthShare, Mulesoft, SoftBear Ready API & Test Engine
Types of integrations supported by the team: HL7 v2, FHIR, Rest, SOAP, Pub/Sub event messaging
We support standard API delivered by Epic, Mulesoft and Healthshare. But we also create custom APIs on these platforms when necessary to support MGB business requirements.
The team has lots of opportunity to get involved in various MGB projects, because our team focuses on data integration, which is a common need in software projects.
Job Summary
The Integration Specialist is integral to the digital Team and responsible for the implementation, analysis and testing, maintenance and upgrades, design, and debugging of data integration related projects, including for Epic. Provides guidance and support to integration consumers.What You'll Do
-Act as part of a team of data integration experts to provide expertise to facilitate organization's current business practices and translate them into integration solutions, for successful product implementation.
-Provides recommendations based on subject matter expertise to resolve roadblocks in the technical build.
-Leads, mentors, and provides guidance to peers regarding work procedures, technical issues, and prioritization/delegation of work, which may also include onboarding and training of new staff.
-Leads the discussion of business requirements and coordinates the translation of those business requirements into functional specifications and/or system build and/or configuration for the integration solution, and offers recommendations for improvements in data collection, workflow or other processes when possible.
-Works closely with the application’s vendor or developer to communicate the functional specifications, providing details to improve understanding.
-Develops test plans and performs related quality assurance tasks Provides ongoing support of the data integration by identifying and resolving issues, often as the point of escalation for more complex issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study requiredCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yesnformation Technology Experience 5-7 years required and Data Integration Experience 3-5 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience in the support of data integrations, preferably in a healthcare setting, including FHIR, REST and SOAP APIs, and HL7 v2 interfaces.
- Ability to document workflows and business processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other popular office productivity solutions.
- Knowlege of Epic, Ready API and/or HealthShare is preferred
