As an AI Integration Engineer Intern, you will play a vital role in building and integrating AI-powered automations that support Guidewire’s global business operations. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your technical skills, contribute to innovative projects, and learn from experienced engineers. You will help solve real-world integration challenges, enhance operational visibility, and directly impact Guidewire’s journey to transform the insurance industry.

Job Description

What you’ll do

Collaborate with BizTech and cross-functional teams to design, build, and integrate AI-enabled automations and solutions.

Develop and support API-based integrations using REST, XML, and JSON.

Write, understand, and enhance Python and SQL code to support automation and analytics use cases.

Assist in implementing and consuming AI and GenAI capabilities, contributing to engineering standards and tooling.

Support integration workflows and business automations using integration platforms (experience with Workato is a plus).

Help improve operational visibility by contributing to self-service dashboards and reporting.

Participate in Agile delivery practices, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Document integration designs, workflows, and learnings to support knowledge sharing.

What you’ll bring

Required

Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

Basic understanding of APIs and integration concepts.

Working knowledge of Python and SQL (academic or project experience is sufficient).

Familiarity with JSON and XML data formats.

Interest in AI, GenAI, and automation technologies.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills and eagerness to learn in a team environment.

Preferred

Exposure to integration or automation platforms (e.g., Workato).

Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts or GenAI tools.

Experience with dashboards, analytics tools, or data visualization.

Familiarity with Git or version control concepts.
