Integral Project Lead

**Job title:**
As the Integrated Project Lead, you will oversee large-scale engineering/R&D projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to structured methodologies such as PMBOK, Prince2, or Agile. You will coordinate a geographically dispersed and cross-cultural project team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders. Your project management expertise will cover governance, monitoring and controlling, scope management, schedule management, financial management, issue and risk management, and vendor, contract, and resource management. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and brand experts to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
You will lead integral projects from the initial phase until their introduction to the market or internal company delivery, which are essential to Philips' organizational strategy. This involves multiple business domains and knowledge centres inside and outside Philips, as well as external business partners and customers.
**Your role:**
- Setting strategic direction within the project(s) and related programs.
- Articulating complex schedules and interdependencies for stakeholders, identifying risks and issues, and determining mitigation actions while knowing when to escalate.
- Identifying project risks (opportunities and threats) and issues in collaboration with stakeholders, fostering a risk environment that encourages considerate risk-taking behavior.
- Applying daily management and methodical problem-solving, partnering with key stakeholders to find innovative ways to elevate portfolio capabilities, and maintaining advanced knowledge of business lines and products/services.
- Recognizing critical project knowledge, valuing lessons learned, and sharing knowledge in the Philips Knowledge Hub. Driving opportunities in the Philips PM community and using the internal network to support other teams.
- Delivering innovative solutions that improve business activities and impact long-term organizational goals.
- Being responsible for project goals and objectives, key process decisions, and alignment with stakeholders for large projects.
- Projecting, tracking, and reporting KPIs for assigned initiatives.
- Reporting project status regularly to key stakeholders and obtaining approvals for key milestones and major plan changes.
- Delivering quality initiatives through project and product development execution.
- Supporting continuous improvement and compliance processes according to corporate policies and procedures.
- Managing Change Management procedures as appropriate.
**You're the right fit if:**
-Experience: Minimum 8 years in engineering/R&D project management with a proven track record of successfully leading large, complex programs and initiatives. At least 5 years of experience leading cross-cultural and geographically dispersed project teams in the development of small domestic appliances, preferably Baby, breast feeding, or Kitchen appliance products.
Skills:
- Project Management Expertise: Proficient in plan-driven methodologies, including governance, monitoring and controlling, scope management, schedule management, financial management, issue and risk management, and vendor, contract, and resource management.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electronics and mechanical design aspects of household or consumer products.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Communication: Ability to tailor information and present management information to assist with decision-making. Strong interpersonal skills with a result-oriented, self-starting attitude.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to drive change and standardization across businesses and markets.
- Language: Fluent in English and Chinese.
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as business or engineering.
- Willingness to travel as required.
