QUALIFICATIONS 
Education, Certificates and Experience
University degree or diploma in a related discipline plus related experience

Pharmacy Assistant Certificate/Diploma from an accredited institution is preferred. Under no circumstances may a pharmacy assistant mix medications or provide service without a licensed pharmacist present.

Current CPR certification required if involved with direct patient care.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to understand basic medical terminology.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and must be able to perform basic algebraic calculations.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience providing detailed reports using MS Excel and internal forms

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
•    The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. 
•    The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to mix drugs, use computer and other 
•    equipment and reach with hands and arms. 
•    Vision requirements include close vision, colour vision, night vision, peripheral vision, depth perception 
•    and the ability to adjust focus. 
•    Lifting required as per employee capacity, employee must notify Supervisor regarding any health issues 
•    that may affect ability to lift

•    While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
