Description
The Intake Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact, responsible for gathering and managing essential information from clients, patients, or customers. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in streamlining the intake process, ensuring timely delivery of services, and maintaining accurate records. This position is ideal for professionals who excel in communication, organization, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Serve as the primary contact for new client/patient inquiries, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.
+ Collect, verify, and organize demographic, insurance, and referral information following established guidelines.
+ Input accurate data into relevant systems and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
+ Coordinate scheduling of initial appointments or consultations, collaborating with relevant departments.
+ Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all intake processes.
+ Monitor and follow up with clients/patients whose intake process is incomplete or delayed.
+ Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless transitions between intake and service delivery processes.
+ Perform additional administrative tasks as needed to support the department.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
+ Experience: Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role (ideal experience as an intake coordinator, administrative assistant, or similar position). Experience in healthcare settings may be a plus, depending on organizational needs.
+ Skills Required:
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with electronic record-keeping systems.
+ Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
+ Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with a diverse group of clients/customers.
