Description
We are looking for detail-oriented Insurance Verification Representatives to join a healthcare team in Floyds Knobs, IN. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy of insurance information while supporting seamless revenue cycle operations. This is a long-term contract with the possibility to be brought on permanently. This position is ideal for professionals who can adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The schedule for the Insurance Verification Representatives are onsite Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities of the Insurance Verification Representative:
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients to ensure accurate billing and revenue cycle processes.
• Conduct follow-ups with insurance providers to resolve discrepancies and obtain necessary documentation.
• Maintain accurate and organized paper records for insurance verification purposes.
• Collaborate with medical staff and administrative teams to address insurance-related inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards during all verification processes.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to manage and update insurance-related information.
• Adapt to evolving procedures and workflows as the organization transitions to future systems.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with patients or insurance representatives.
• Maintain professionalism in appearance and demeanor while working in a business casual environment.
• Follow established protocols for security and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information.
Requirements • Proven experience in insurance verification within a medical or healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for information management and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of medical insurance verification processes, including eligibility checks.
• Ability to conduct follow-ups with insurance companies to resolve issues effectively.
• Exceptional organizational skills for maintaining paper records and managing documentation.
• Familiarity with compliance standards and confidentiality requirements in healthcare.
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions.
