Insurance Verification Coordinator
Description We are seeking an Insurance Verification Coordinator to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will ensure the seamless verification of insurance coverage and benefits for clients, helping maintain compliance, improve efficiency, and support quality care delivery. Key Responsibilities: + Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility by contacting insurance providers directly or utilizing online systems. + Ensure the accuracy of insurance information, including policy numbers, coverage limits, co-payments, and deductibles. + Communicate with patients, service providers, and healthcare facilities to obtain and confirm insurance and demographic details. + Resolve discrepancies or issues by investigating and following up with insurance carriers or other stakeholders. + Maintain and update insurance records in the organization's database with high accuracy and confidentiality. + Collaborate with billing departments to provide accurate pre-verification details for claims submissions. + Stay informed about policy changes and insurance regulations to ensure compliance. Requirements + Experience: At least one year of experience in insurance verification, healthcare administration, or a related field. + Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with healthcare or insurance management software. + Knowledge: Understanding of medical terminology, insurance types (HMO/PPO), and authorization/referral processes. + Education: High School Diploma + Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with team members, patients, and third-party payers.
