Insurance Verification Clerk
Description We are looking for an experienced Insurance Verification Clerk to join our team in Bakersfield, California. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting our financial services operations by ensuring seamless communication with members and resolving inquiries efficiently. This is an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization with a focus on delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities: • Respond promptly to incoming calls, ensuring adherence to departmental standards for response time and call handling. • Assess the needs of callers and provide appropriate assistance or direct them to the correct department. • Deliver accurate and comprehensive information to callers, ensuring clarity and resolution of inquiries. • Utilize available resources to research and address moderately complex issues effectively. • Communicate significant or complex matters to supervisors, particularly those that may affect other departments. • Collaborate with team members and contracted providers to achieve departmental and organizational goals. • Support co-workers by offering assistance as needed to maintain a cooperative and productive work environment. • Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the department. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer services or a related role. • Proficiency in claims processing and handling medical claims. • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across various channels. • Demonstrated ability to remain composed and productive in high-pressure situations. • Adept at researching and resolving moderately complex issues using available tools and resources. • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate and support colleagues. • Familiarity with organizational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance in all interactions. • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and with attention to detail.
