Key Responsibilities: + Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 12–14 staff to meet departmental goals and service standards + Oversee daily operations involving insurance verification, eligibility checks, and service authorizations + Communicate financial obligations to patients with clarity and empathy + Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance regulations + Assist in resolving claim denials, billing discrepancies, and eligibility conflicts with carriers + Provide courteous and accurate responses to clinic inquiries regarding insurance coverage and copays + Collaborate cross-functionally to improve workflow efficiency and service delivery + Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality benchmarks + Support training and development efforts to enhance team performance Required Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent + Strong customer service skills in both phone and face-to-face interactions + Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting + Proficiency in basic computer operations and systems + Excellent organizational and analytical abilities + Effective verbal and written communication skills + Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-volume environment + Familiarity with ICD-9 and CPT medical billing codes + In-depth knowledge of homecare, hospice, and skilled nursing reimbursement guidelines + Previous experience in insurance authorization, billing, or rate negotiation preferred Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
