Join our team as an Insulator Journeyperson and play a critical role in delivering high-quality insulation solutions for our ship repair and modernization projects.
As an Insulator Journeyperson, you will:
+ Install and remove insulation on ship components, including bulkheads, overheads, piping systems, and machinery
+ Measure, cut, and fabricate insulation materials to reduce heat loss, prevent moisture condensation, and deaden sound
+ Perform related tasks as assigned
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
+ Skills:Ability to read and comprehend specifications and drawingsKnowledge of piping systems and layout patterns
+ Experience: 3 years of experience in insulation work on military or commercial vessels
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Experience with insulation materials and techniques
+ Knowledge of shipyard operations and safety protocols
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $59800 - $91645
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
