Airswift is looking for an Instrumentation Supervisor to work in a contractor position offshore in Guyana for a major company in the oil and gas sector.

This role is responsible for supervising instrumentation maintenance activities onboard the vessel, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational integrity of all instrument systems. The Instrument Supervisor will lead a team of technicians and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation assets, contributing to the reliability and performance of offshore operations.

The position follows a rotational offshore schedule: either 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off or 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off, depending on operational needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and execute maintenance of instrumentation systems and equipment. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, work authorizations, and operational standards. Plan and manage resources and spare parts efficiently. Monitor and assess the performance and condition of instrument assets using inspection methods and diagnostic tools. Diagnose faults and determine corrective actions based on inspection results. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system adjustments. Support pollution control measures and ensure environmental compliance. Coordinate with subcontractors, inspectors, and vendor representatives. Establish scope of work and lead briefings, toolbox talks, and presentations. Promote training and competency development within the instrumentation team. Conduct performance appraisals and recommend improvements in working practices. Participate in emergency response duties and drills as per station bill.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

HNC/HND in Instrumentation or recognized equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably with offshore exposure. Supervisory experience in Permit to Work systems, mechanical isolation, and risk assessment. Knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities. Experience with Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
