This role involves programming individual monitor channels, setting up alarm logic, and ensuring proper communication with other systems using 3500 Rack Configuration Software. The role also involves working with various monitor modules, power supplies, and communication gateways within the 3500 rack.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilizing the 3500 Rack Configuration Software to configure various monitor modules (e.g., 3500/40M, 3500/42M) for different measurement types (vibration, position, etc.) and alarm setpoints. Monitoring machine parameters (vibration, temperature, speed, etc.) and ensuring the system is functioning correctly. Identifying and resolving issues related to the 3500 system, including communication problems, faulty modules, or incorrect configuration settings. Setting up and managing alarm logic for various channels and ensuring proper relay outputs are triggered based on predefined conditions. Configuring communication gateways (e.g., TDI, RIM) to interface with other systems (e.g., DCS, PLC) for data transfer and control. Maintaining accurate records of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.Work Experience

Bently Nevada 3500 System Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of the 3500 system architecture, components, and functionality. Proficiency in using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software for system setup and configuration. Understanding of vibration analysis, proximity probes, and other relevant sensor technologies. Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to the 3500 system and its components. Ability to effectively communicate with other team members, engineers, and plant personnel. Ability to document system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
Additional Considerations:
API 670 Compliance: Familiarity with API 670 standards for machinery protection systems.
Safety Procedures: Adherence to relevant safety procedures when working with electrical equipment and rotating machinery.
Experience with other Bently Nevada products: Experience with System 1 or other Bently Nevada software and hardware platforms can be an advantage.
