We are currently recruiting for an Instrumentation Designer to be placed in Geleen, The Netherlands and would be on a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. Perform design and drafting activities for greenfield and brownfield projects. Independently on the project with limited supervision of an instrumentation engineer and coordinate with multiple stake holders such as project managers, engineers, construction teams, third parties etc. Most of the work will be at client site. Good practical knowledge of instrumentation installations. Prepare and develop instrumentation design in DEFINE, DESIGN and EXECUTE phase of the projects with quality, clarity, and consistency. Ensure design deliverables are completed and issued per project specification, procedures and within schedule and budgets. Set priorities, organize own work, and meet project goals.


Responsibilities Previous experience in green field and brownfield projects and to be capable to handle multiple (smaller) projects simultaneously. Communicate and liaise with multiple (mostly) internal stake holders. Coordinate and interface within own discipline, maintenance and other disciplines. Maintain responsibility for progress and productivity, identifying any required corrective action to meet schedule. Ensure consistency for all drawings and conduct thorough checks to ensure correctness of the technical content and the quality of the engineering drawings. Attend project meetings if required. Be capable of doing drafting modifications in AutoCAD  and Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) Knowledge of and capable to Prepare and check design deliverables such as Block Diagram, Instrumentation and Control room Lay-outs, Cable Tray Lay-outs, typical installation details, loop diagrams, terminal lists, instrument datasheets, wiring diagrams, etc. Develop clash free design. Review other discipline drawings if required. Issue engineering drawings and layouts for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC’s). Coordinate with construction team to resolve site queries, clarification etc.

Skills / Qualifications Good Coordination and communication Skills Follows directives and instructions. Well versed in the use of Microsoft office, AUTOCAD, SPI, etc. Thorough knowledge of Safety and Quality Procedures. Knowledge of international Standards and code i.e. IEC, ISA and ISO codes. Dutch Speaking
