This position is being advertised to form a pipeline of candidates for current and future positions within [insert business/sector], therefore applicants should not expect feedback immediately. However, we will endeavour to review your CV in a timely manner.
An exciting new opportunity is available within the Test and Experimental Engineering (T&EE) Instrumentation Design team for an enthusiastic and committed Instrumentation Design Engineer.
Instrumentation is critical to any gas turbine engine test to allow measurement data of engine performance and behaviour to be obtained, and its design and integration within a gas turbine engine is highly complex. The UK Instrumentation Design team provides the complete design engineering service for all Defence and Civil Aerospace instrumentation requirements, creating design solutions to install sensors into development gas turbine engines for both ground and flight testing. Instrumentation requirements cover a wide range of measurement techniques and vary in complexity from fast and simple sensor installations to designing complex bespoke solutions such as rotating telemetry units and rakes.
As an Instrumentation Design Engineer your main task will be to design and deliver instrumentation design solutions through the whole lifecycle, from requirements acceptance through to design completion, hardware delivery, build support and post-test learning.
