You will be responsible for the Instrumentation design and electrical arrangement for Compressors and Gas/Steam Turbine applications. You will have the opportunity to introduce new technology to enhance company profitability and productivity. You will be responsible for maintaining and incorporating new cost-effective solutions for designs.
As an Instrumentation Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and arranging instrumentation and electrical systems for compressors and gas/steam turbine applications. Your expertise will drive cost-effective solutions and innovative designs.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Deliverables: Prepare both basic and detailed engineering documents for sensing and instrumentation design.Instrumentation Selection: Choose and size instrumentation for industrial applications, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulatory requirements.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project stakeholders to deliver high-quality instrumentation designs that meet customer contractual requirements.3D Modelling: Utilise 3D software to model instrumentation loop arrangements based on installation conditions.SMART Instrumentation Design: Configure SMART instrumentation to mitigate electric and electromagnetic noise susceptibility.Electrical Installation Optimisation: Collaborate with the manufacturing department to standardise electrical installation solutions..

To be successful in this role, you will:
Educational Background: A BE or ME in Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, or Electronics Instrumentation.Experience: At least 4 years of proven experience in instrumentation design engineering.Have experience in EPC - Engineering Procurement ConstructionHave a design experience with rotating equipment (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Centrifugal compressor and Turbo Expanders)Be proficient in Instrumentation design and related development tools; knowledge of industry codes and standards.Have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and motivate others.Have some knowledge of 3D Modelling tools (NX) / know about electrical installation and cable routing.Have experience in AVEVA and AUTOCAD is preferred.
