Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our team. The role involves the specification and procurement of instrumentation for large frame gas turbines, creation and maintenance of all supporting instrument documentation, and support for project engineering.
Responsibilities
Specify and procure instrumentation for large frame gas turbines.Create and maintain IO lists and supporting instrument documentation.Generate and maintain gas turbine control logic documentation.Support project engineering with customer GT instrumentation and bid assessments for new gas turbine builds.Determine customer instrumentation and control contract requirements and delivery dates.Develop instrumentation procurement schedules and technical specifications.Verify supplier quotes and ensure compliance with system P&IDs.Create instrument loops and data sheets for instrumentation.Collaborate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams under cost and time constraints.Resolve customer comments on all responsible drawings and create I&C procedures and checklists.Troubleshoot and solve problems at various project sites.Ensure compliance with technical standards and interpret applicable codes like ISA, ANSI/NEMA, NFPA, and AGA.Qualify new vendors if required and travel up to 15%.Essential Skills
5+ years of relevant I&C experience in power plants, process/chemical plants, or oil & gas.Expertise in instrumentation, power generation, control systems, and IO lists.Familiarity with technical specifications and logic.Knowledge of P&ID, process instrumentation diagrams, and plant processing.Experience with Netmation, MK5, MK6, Complicity, T3000, R3000, Simatic, Ovation, Delta V, and related equipment.Ability to work with mathematical concepts and technical instructions.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in control valves and Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) or Smart Plant 3D (S3D) is highly desirable.Experience in conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for instrumentation.Ability to support field operations and perform on-site installation of instrumentation.Proficiency in language skills for effective communication and report writing.Work Environment
The position is based in an engineering office with a team of about 6 professionals. The role may require up to 15% travel to various project sites.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Mary, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
