Job Title: Instrument Instructor
Department: Operations Support – Onshore Operations & Support Group
Reports to: Training Lead

Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality technical training and competency programs for Operations Group staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to operate and maintain company facilities safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities Deliver in-house technical and simulator-based training programs aligned with company standards. Identify training needs and design custom classroom and simulator sessions to enhance technical skills. Provide on-the-job training for Operations and Maintenance staff, trainees, and graduates, ensuring effective knowledge transfer. Assess staff procedures and technical competencies, including field and theoretical knowledge. Support onboarding programs for new staff to ensure readiness for assigned equipment and plant areas. Conduct simulator training using plant models and develop troubleshooting scenarios. Develop and apply measurable learning objectives for new project readiness and facility startup. Integrate Process Safety and IIF (Incident & Injury Free) culture into all training programs. Prepare training reports, evaluate outcomes, and recommend individual learning plans to address skill gaps.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Experience Minimum 4 years of experience in Oil & Gas operations, with at least 2 years in a training role. Solid background in operations or maintenance of Oil & Gas facilities.
Skills & Competencies Fluent in English (written and spoken). Strong computer skills, especially in MS Office and SharePoint. Well-organized with strong planning abilities. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Team-oriented with a commitment to safety, innovation, and service. Ability to coach, mentor, and assess staff effectively.
Additional Notes This role requires close collaboration with internal departments (Operations, Maintenance, Projects, L&D) and occasional coordination with contractors or third-party providers. Support the development of Qatari nationals as part of the company’s Qatarization goals. Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and anti-trust policies.
