Position Summary: The Department of Biological Sciences at Arkansas State University (A-State) invites applications for a full-time Instructor position in biological sciences beginning January 2026. Preference will be given to applicants holding a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or a terminal degree in a health professions field. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and student success. The ability to teach majors and non-majors courses in Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology is highly desirable. This is a renewable 9-month, non-tenure track position, with regular opportunities to teach during summer terms. Duties & Responsibilities: + Teach undergraduate courses in biological sciences related to human biology, including Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, and other related courses for majors and non-majors. + Develop and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction in both lecture and laboratory settings. + Maintain appropriate course records, assessments, and grading consistent with departmental standards. + Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of course offerings. + Stay current with best practices in biology education and integrate innovative teaching strategies. + Contribute to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
