We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Instructional Laboratory Technician II, Biological Sciences position located at our campus in Temecula, CA. The Instructional Laboratory Technician II, under the general supervision of the Instructional Dean of Math and Science and the direct supervision of the Director of Instructional Laboratory Operations, prepares laboratories for class session activities in a face-to-face environment for the biological sciences. The incumbent responds to student questions and maintains a supportive and professional relationship with students, other instructional laboratory technicians, and faculty. The Instructional Laboratory Technician performs discipline-specific technical tasks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. An Associate of Science degree in Biological Sciences or related field (*attach transcript); AND 2. A minimum of sixteen (16) semester units of college-level coursework in Biological Sciences including lab course work; AND 3. Two (2) Years experience working in an educational or research laboratory; AND 4. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of our community college population ***Before scanning attachments, remove/redact sensitive, confidential information such as date of birth, social security number, address and photograph*** SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Possession of, or the ability to obtain within 60-days of hire, a valid California driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the district. 2. Must maintain a driving record that meets District requirements set forth in the current policy (AP6530) as it relates to allowable types of infractions and points. 3. Prior to access to District vehicles, the incumbent must complete successful enrollment in the District's Direct Pull program with the DMV. 4. Be comfortable working in a normal laboratory and office setting. 5. Be able to lift 30lbs.
