**Job Title:** Instructional Designer I **Location:** Edmonton, AB (Hybrid work model: Mon, Tues, Thurs in office) Our client, a leader in operational excellence and technical training, is seeking an Instructional Designer I to join their team. As an Instructional Designer I, you will be part of the Learning & Development department supporting the training initiatives for field work management processes and tools. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, and strong collaboration skills, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Description:** + Design and develop comprehensive training content for Field Work Management (FWM) processes and systems, including Maximo and related tools. + Analyze training needs and perform gap assessments to identify areas for improvement. + Create role-based learning paths, curricula, and engaging instructional materials using the ADDIE methodology. + Develop interactive e-learning modules, classroom sessions, blended learning solutions, job aids, quick reference guides, and microlearning videos. + Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure training relevance, accuracy, and effectiveness. **Qualifications:** + Post-secondary degree or diploma in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. + Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in instructional design and curriculum development within technical or operational environments. + Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and competency-based training frameworks. + Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate and Captivate, multimedia editing, and LMS administration. + Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders effectively. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to contribute to impactful training programs that enhance operational safety and efficiency. + Work in a collaborative and innovative environment supporting professional growth. + Engage with modern tools and methodologies in instructional design. + Hybrid work flexibility to support work-life balance. + Be part of a forward-thinking organization committed to diversity and inclusion.
