Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Marine Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of marine vessels, structures, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Perform comprehensive inspections of marine vessels, offshore structures, and related equipment to assess their condition, safety, and compliance with international maritime standardsConduct detailed examinations of hull structures, propulsion systems, safety equipment, and navigational instrumentsAnalyze inspection findings and prepare accurate, detailed reports documenting observations, non-conformities, and recommendationsCollaborate with ship owners, operators, and regulatory agencies to address identified issues and implement corrective actionsStay updated on the latest maritime regulations, inspection techniques, and industry standardsUtilize advanced inspection tools and software to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of inspectionsParticipate in safety meetings and provide expert advice on marine safety mattersTravel to various project sites within the UAE and potentially internationally as requiredMaintain a high level of professional conduct and adhere to ethical standards in all inspection activitiesContribute to the continuous improvement of inspection processes and procedures

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in marine inspection or a related maritime roleIn-depth knowledge of international maritime standards, regulations, and inspection techniquesProven experience in conducting thorough inspections of various types of marine vessels and structuresStrong understanding of environmental regulations related to marine operationsProficiency in relevant inspection software and toolsExcellent report writing and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical findingsRelevant marine inspection certifications (e.g., NACE, FROSIO, or equivalent)Demonstrated ability to work in challenging marine environments and adapt to changing conditionsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detailPhysical fitness to perform inspections in diverse marine settingsWillingness to travel to various project sites within the UAE and potentially internationallyFamiliarity with UAE maritime regulations and standards is a plus
