Inspector II - Electrical Solutions
**Job Description** The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management. **What You ll Do:** + Perform Printed Wiring Board/Assembly Inspections, to include, but not limited to soldering, staking, and conformal coat utilizing a Microscope. + Complete Inspections on Cable/Wire Harness Assemblies. + Inspect per IPC Certifications: IPC J-STD-001 with Space Addendum Soldering for Operators & Inspectors (CIS), Assembly of Electronic Assemblies (IPC-A-610), IPC/WHMA-A620, Requirements for Cable & Wire Harness Assemblies; these certifications are not required but preferred. + Work with devices/hardware that are Highly Sensitive Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive. + Maintain working knowledge of BAE Systems Space and Mission Systems (SMS) Process Library. + Perform basic dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, feeler gauges, etc. + Create and maintain First Article Inspection Reports, as required. + Support Government and/or Customer internal and Source Inspections, as required. + Inspect incoming or production hardware, assemblies or articles for conformance to engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, process standards, specifications, and production or process plans. + Perform incoming test of components. Monitor for conformance to design or test specifications or standards. + Accept or reject materials or articles; identify and document non-conformance and notify appropriate personnel of potential rejection of items. + Refer/document unusual inspection problems or defect trends to supervision, Lead or Quality Engineer. + Apply/enforce/comprehend accept/reject criteria from engineering drawings, specifications, or process certification training. + Witness or monitor functional/performance testing at sub-assembly and/or end-item level. + Support the following test inspections and functions as needed: Box-level integration inspections, ESTE/GSE certifications, vibration testing, thermal testing, TVAC testing, PWA testing, test troubleshooting, rack configuration changes, mate/demate of test connector interfaces and setup, execution and review of various test procedures. + Obtain and maintain all certifications required for assigned tasks. + Troubleshoot inspection problems related to fixtures, , drawings, documentation, or processes. + Perform Final Inspection and review documentation required for end-item shipments. + Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. + Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. + Perform other duties as necessary. **On-Site Work Environment:** This position requires regular in-person engagement by working **on-site five days** each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. **Working Conditions:** + Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 or more years of related experience. + Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor s or Master s, may substitute for years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. + Must also be willing to relocate permanently, as required, to work at different local company campuses to support business needs. \#LI-JL2 **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $47614 - $76181 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
