Job Description

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector - Civil (Roads) to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of road construction activities in accordance with project specifications and local regulations.

Conduct thorough inspections of road construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, contract documents, and health and safety standardsSupervise and coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and timelinesPrepare detailed daily reports on work progress, material deliveries, and inspection findings for the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE)Implement and monitor quality control procedures throughout the project lifecyclePerform site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels as requiredCollaborate with the project team to identify and resolve site issues promptlyMonitor and maintain records of contractor resources, equipment usage, and material testingAssist in the preparation of project-related correspondence and documentationParticipate in client inspections and coordinate with project stakeholdersOversee the start-up, commissioning, and handover processes of site worksConduct audits to ensure conformity with contract documents and contractor-submitted plans

QualificationsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil EngineeringMinimum 7 years of experience in road and infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years of experience in the UAEIn-depth knowledge of construction contract documents, detailed drawings, and specificationsStrong understanding of health and safety measures in construction environmentsProficiency in site supervision, inspection techniques, and quality control proceduresExperience with site measurements and basic surveying checks.
