Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector - Civil (Roads) to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of road construction activities in accordance with project specifications and local regulations. + Conduct thorough inspections of road construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, contract documents, and health and safety standards + Supervise and coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and timelines + Prepare detailed daily reports on work progress, material deliveries, and inspection findings for the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) + Implement and monitor quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle + Perform site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels as required + Collaborate with the project team to identify and resolve site issues promptly + Monitor and maintain records of contractor resources, equipment usage, and material testing + Assist in the preparation of project-related correspondence and documentation + Participate in client inspections and coordinate with project stakeholders + Oversee the start-up, commissioning, and handover processes of site works + Conduct audits to ensure conformity with contract documents and contractor-submitted plans **Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering + Minimum 7 years of experience in road and infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years of experience in the UAE + In-depth knowledge of construction contract documents, detailed drawings, and specifications + Strong understanding of health and safety measures in construction environments + Proficiency in site supervision, inspection techniques, and quality control procedures + Experience with site measurements and basic surveying checks. **Additional Information** + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills + Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail + Effective communication skills, both verbal and written + Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools + Thorough understanding of local construction codes and regulations + RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) approval is preferred + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment + Adaptability to work in challenging outdoor conditions **About AECOM** AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
