Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and Inspector - Civils on a Building Supervision project to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Conduct regular on-site inspections of civil construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and local building codesReview and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project documentationPerform quality control checks on construction materials and workmanshipIdentify and report any deviations from approved plans or safety violationsCollaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve construction-related issuesPrepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all site visits and findingsEnforce safety regulations and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standardsParticipate in pre-construction meetings and provide technical advice as neededStay updated on local building codes, regulations, and industry best practicesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering or construction supervisionProfessional certification in construction inspection (e.g., ICC Certification)In-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations, particularly those applicable in DubaiProficiency in construction project management softwareStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsExpertise in civil engineering principles and practicesIn-depth knowledge of construction materials and methodsExperience with quality control and safety procedures in constructionAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentWillingness to work flexible hours and travel to various construction sites as neededAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
