Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Civil Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our infrastructure and construction projects throughout the region.
Conduct daily inspections to verify that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.Review and apply all applicable codes, standards, and project specifications related to civil works.Monitor and inspect excavation, shoring, backfilling, reinforcement, concrete pouring, waterproofing, and finishing of structures.Verify alignment, gradients, and levels for various civil structures to ensure compliance with design.Ensure contractor's works comply with local authority standards and approved quality control procedures.Record and report daily manpower, equipment, and material deliveries on-site.Supervise the execution of concrete curing, coating, and lining works for civil structures.Assist in issuing site instructions and verifying the contractor's responses and close-out.Coordinate with contractors to resolve civil works issues and follow up on corrective actions.Prepare detailed daily inspection reports, including observations, progress updates, test results, and safety notes.Support surveying and measurement verification for structural tolerances and alignments.Monitor and support the testing, commissioning, and handover of civil works.Assist in reviewing RFIs, method statements, and variance requests related to civil activities.Coordinate with client representatives and authority inspectors during inspections and document all findings.Maintain organized records of inspections, non-conformance reports, test results, as-built updates, and executed works.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum 7 years of experience in construction and supervision of civil works, with at least 3 years of experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle EastIn-depth knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and regulations in Saudi ArabiaStrong familiarity with contract documents, detailed drawings, and project specificationsProficiency in conducting site inspections, quality control, and quality assurance proceduresExcellent skills in site measurements and surveying checksStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficient in project management software and MS Office SuiteOutstanding report writing and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsKnowledge of local construction standards and regulations in Saudi ArabiaAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
