Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Inspector to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Civil Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our infrastructure and road projects.
Review and familiarize yourself with project contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measuresConduct thorough site inspections to ensure contractor compliance with project standards and specificationsPerform quality control checks and implement quality assurance procedures on-siteCarry out site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levelsPrepare comprehensive daily reports on work orders, material deliveries, and inspection programsMonitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain accurate recordsCoordinate with the project team, including the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer, to resolve site issues promptlyAssist in the preparation of project correspondence in compliance with contract documents and site requirementsOversee the start-up, commissioning, and handover of site works, maintaining records of project milestonesConduct audits to ensure conformity with contract documents and contractor-submitted plansLiaise with clients and stakeholders during site inspectionsQualificationsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil EngineeringMinimum 7 years of experience in similar infrastructure and road projects, with at least 3 years of experience in the UAEIn-depth knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and regulations in the UAEStrong familiarity with contract documents, detailed drawings, and project specificationsProficiency in conducting site inspections, quality control, and quality assurance proceduresExcellent skills in site measurements and surveying checksStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficient in project management software and MS Office SuiteOutstanding report writing and communication skillsRTA Approval (preferred)Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
