Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector Civil to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As an Inspector Civil, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our roads and infrastructure projects throughout the emirate.

Conduct thorough inspections of civil engineering works, including roads, bridges, and other infrastructure projectsReview and interpret contract documents, detailed drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirementsPerform site supervision and carry out regular inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident EngineerMonitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and project specificationsPrepare detailed daily reports on work progress, material deliveries, and inspection findingsCoordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve site issues promptlyConduct and document site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levelsImplement and maintain quality control procedures on-siteAssist in the preparation of correspondence related to contract documents and site requirementsMonitor the start-up, commissioning, and handover of site works, maintaining records of project milestonesPerform audits to ensure conformity with contract documents and contractor-submitted plansStay updated on local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi, ensuring all work meets required standards

QualificationsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil EngineeringMinimum 7 years of experience in similar roads and infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years of experience in the UAE preferredIn-depth knowledge of construction practices, quality control, and safety standardsStrong familiarity with contract documents, detailed drawings, and technical specificationsProficiency in site measurement, surveying techniques, and related software toolsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detailStrong organizational abilities and capability to manage multiple tasks efficientlyProficient in using inspection software and toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishKnowledge of local building codes and regulations in Abu DhabiRTA Approval is preferredAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to work on-site in various weather conditions
