Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a qualified Bridge Inspector to join our infrastructure construction supervision team. The selected candidate will be responsible for on-site inspection of bridge structures to ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:Conduct daily site inspections of bridge works including substructure, superstructure, foundations, bearings, expansion joints, precast/post-tensioned elements, and associated civil works.
Monitor construction activities for compliance with approved design documents, specifications, and method statements.
Inspect reinforcement, formwork, concrete placement, stressing, grouting, and finishing works related to bridge components.
Check alignment, levels, and tolerances as per approved drawings and standards.
Assist the Resident Engineer and Structural Engineer in resolving construction issues and ensuring quality delivery.
Prepare daily inspection reports, document test results, and maintain records of construction progress.
Ensure that all site operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to manage interface works.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:Diploma or Technical Certificate in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in bridge construction supervision, including cast-in-situ and precast elements.
Solid understanding of structural drawings, construction sequences, and quality assurance practices.
Experience in inspecting bridge foundations, piers, abutments, girders, decks, and structural steel components.
Ability to identify construction defects and non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
Good communication skills and proficiency in English.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:Prior experience with international consultants or contractors on major bridge or highway projects.
Familiarity with local authority standards and bridge inspection procedures in the GCC region.
Basic knowledge of construction software or field documentation tools is an advantage.
