Job Purpose: To provide reliable transportation for the collection and delivery of samples for testing purposes

Key Accountabilities and responsibilities:

Provide reliable and courteous transportation services to employees and company guests Maintain a high standard of service to both internal and external guests by attending to requests, being punctual and always ensuring passenger safety Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and always ensure good working conditions Observe and comply with road and traffic laws and regulations and ensure that safe driving practices are adhered to including local driving codes and company standards Maintain up-to-date log of official trips, daily mileage, oil changes, etc. for future use Respond immediately to accidents or emergency cases by notifying the direct superior to ensure appropriate / timely action is taken Responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained and serviced as per vehicle/QHSSE requirements (minor and major vehicle servicing) Perform daily vehicle inspection and preventive maintenance tasks as necessary (e.g. checking oil, water levels, tyre pressure, cleanliness of vehicles etc) for all work-related journeys Ensure GPS/vehicle monitoring systems are fully operational and ready for use and select the most appropriate/optimal route for transportation purposes Coordinate with the supervisor for vehicle licensing and registration renewal in a timely manner and ensure vehicle is insured at all times Perform delivery and collection duties to meet operational requirements (couriering documents, devices, invoices, purchased items, stocks etc) Responsible for ensuring all permits and documentation requirements are ready for cross-border travel Prepare all required items for sampling purposes including but not limited to selection of appropriate sampler, sufficient sampling cans, labels and seals to ensure effective and efficient sample collection as per company standards, procedures and QHSSE requirements Collect and deliver samples, specimens, and documentation as per company requirements in adherence with company QHSSE and PPE requirements   Count, measure, weigh and label samples as needed, and record sample data as required Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including QHSSE requirements  

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science discipline Minimum of 2 (two) years of relevant experience High school diploma with a minimum of 5 (five) years inspection/surveying experience can be considered for this role
