Job Description:

CEI SENIOR ROADWAY / BRIDGE INSPECTOR – Jacksonville Florida

Parsons is seeking a Senior Roadway / Bridge Inspector tp support Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) work in the Jacksonville, Florida area. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive general supervision from the Project Administrator.Coordinate and manage the lower-level inspectors and verification testing technicians.Read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings.Perform field inspection of contractor’s operations to ensure compliance with contract documents.Perform material sampling and testing.Prepare daily reports to document contractor work operations.Field measure installed quantities and perform supporting standard mathematical calculations.Enter daily reports and material sampling and testing results in web-based databases (PrC and Material Acceptance and Certification [MAC] database).

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma andAssociate's Degree in a technical discipline/construction-related field, or equivalent work experience5+ years of relevant field project experience is requiredPrior experience on similar FDOT projects is required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Ideal candidate should possess current FDOT CTQP certifications and FDOT Intermediate Temporary Traffic Control (MOT).Possess working knowledge of FDOT specifications. 8+ years of previous inspection experience is preferredAt least 4 years of previous roadway/bridge inspection experience is preferredFDOT District 2 experience is preferred

This position may require frequent and recurring construction inspections, which includes walking, climbing, stooping and bending at various elevations and uneven terrain.

Salary Range: $35.05 - $61.35
