Department OverviewThe Inside Territory Sales Representative is responsible for directly selling Motorola Solutions products and services through achievement of sales quotas for a pre-established set of accounts designated by management.

The Inside Territory Sales Representative is held accountable for reaching business targets associated with phone-based selling and other revenue generating activities (outbound calling, lead generation & follow-up, call campaigns on promotion launches, prospecting, email campaigns, etc).
Job Description

The Inside Sales Representative is held accountable for reaching business targets associated with phone-based selling and other revenue generating activities (outbound calling, lead generation & follow-up, call campaigns on promotion launches, prospecting, email campaigns, etc).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Cold calling and emailing leads

Understand Motorola Solutions’ technology and business structure

Prospect and qualify potential clients generated through outbound calling, email initiatives and attending appropriate industry events defined by sales management

Attend customer specific meetings, conferences and technology forums, as directed by the sales team

Learn and understand the assigned territory government processes, included but not limited to; State Term Schedules, Purchase Ordering Processes, Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotations (RFQ), and/or sealed bids

Keep current with industry trends that are relevant to targeted vertical markets

Have a technical understanding of and ability to articulate and demonstrate Motorola’s products and value proposition

Additional Knowledge/Skills: 

Proven sales achievement in a high-energy, phone-based selling environment is a PLUS

Experience developing collaborative relationships

Preferred experience with technology sales and Salesforce.com CRM experience 

Customer focused and detail oriented

Self-motivated with a high degree of drive and determination

Strong individual contributor and team player

Adaptive and flexible (changing technologies, processes, environments) 

Target Base Salary Range: $50,000 - $52,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
