Discover Impactful Work:Based in Ottawa, our Inside Sales Reps sell research products in Canada through various channels.
A Day in the Life:Develop and maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end users within assigned territoryMake independent decisions, collaborate with teams, build connections within accounts for networking.Perform sales calls and vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory primarily by phone, but face-to-face customer meetings may be requiredMonitor competitor and industry updates, integrate data into business plan, and launch new products/services.Manage pricing and negotiate within territory to control profitabilityMaintain accurate reporting, records, and files vital for proper management of territoryConnect with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems, perform other tasks assigned by managerAdvise customers of supply and price trends and assist in inventory control, consults with customersPositively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locationsKeys to Success:Education
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the sciencesExperienceSales experience OR lab experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesStrong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skillsFully bilingual in both English and FrenchProficiency in establishing goals and achieving resultsMust possess a strong desire to serve the customerMust deliver excellent customer serviceMust possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as neededMust be willing to travel to customer locations, if neededDemonstrates the Thermo Fisher values (The Four I’s) – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement
